Milan Fashion Week Diary

ago

There is something about Milano that I can’t explain. The delicious food, the amazing weather, the friendly people, the super stylish women riding their vespa’s on the streets, … whenever I’m in Milano I feel the same happiness over and over again. It’s almost like a little love affair! So I can’t wait to share my Milano photo diary during fashion week with you guys…

1, 8, 9, 14, 23, 26, 32, 35 / Milano’s Duomo is probably my favourite cathedral in Europe. It’s just so impressive! I still have to visit it’s rooftop ( next time I’m going to do it for sure!) but I just fall in love over and over again with the architecture of all the buildings and monuments in this city. Another must visit is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest shopping malls, right next to the Duomo. So amazingly beautiful!
2/ Loving the view from the airplane!
3, 11, 12, 13/ Our hotel, the Mercure, was situated in one of the best area’s of Milano: right in front of Porta Venezia. Walking up every morning with a view on the historical gates of city, was just such a dream! The hotel also has an amazing location for the fashion weeks, as it’s so close to almost every show venue. A lot of people always ask me what beauty products I use so here is what’s in my bathroom during fashion week: Mousse Nettoyante by Dior, Bioderma Solution Micellaire Sensibio, La Mer SPF 50, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair and the La Prairie crème de jour anti-age!
4, 24/ Look of the day: Baum und Pferdgarten top, Designers Remix leather skirt and Delvaux bag
5,6/ The Roberto Cavalli runway show was all about long flowy dresses and white lace….
7, 10, 33/ Caprese, pasta, pizza, bread, olive oil, meat, wine, fish, sea food, ice cream,…OMG, Milano is definitely the place to eat, eat and ….ehm, eat even more! Go to Giacomo Ristorante for the best pasta vongole and to Antica Osteria Cavallini for grilled langoustines and carpaccio with parmesan and rucola. Nom!
15, 16, 17, 18, 19 , 20, 21, 22 I was invited by Philipp Plein for an all black dinner in the dark, after his show in Milano. Everything was black ( the plates, the food, the table,…), there was just one light right above your seat which created a real mysterious night. Even the sushi and the risotto were all black. After that we all jumped in a huge swimming pool box full with little white popping balls and danced until I couldn’t feel my feet anymore.. that was so much fun! I went to sleep in the early morning while I had my first backstage show at 8 o’clock! CRAZY!!!
25, 27/ Some backstage shots of the beauty products that make-up artists swear by! This reminds me that I have to re-stock the Lait- crème by Embryolisse, such a great product!
28,29/ At the Just Cavalli show: the models came down the runway in girly dresses, striped trousers and colorful jackets … they would definitely look amazing on a summer festival: easy, sexy and carefree!
31/ Naomi Campbell looking better then ever in her silk Emilio Pucci gown!
34/ Outfit of the day! I’m wearing a black lace San Andres dress, Louboutin shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag.
30, 36, 37, 38/ At the Marni flower market. Read more HERE
