For the second part of our Gabrielle de Chanel mini series, featuring 3 of my favourite Spring activities and appropriate styling, I focused on what I do best in Spring: outdoor lunches! Because let's be honest, no matter how wonderful picking up flowers and running errands in the city are, nothing beats having lunch al fresco, with the wonderful Spring scents flavouring your food (even makes me a bit poetic, apparently :)).
This calls for your breeziest outfit that leaves room for an extra piece of pie (although there's no more such thing for me haha). A tee-&-denim combo never hurt anyone, especially when paired with my favourite third-trimester trick for that extra layer on top: use a flowy dress as a light coat, simply by letting it hang. I completed the look with simple leafy embroidered loafers (so Spring appropriate!) and my miniature Gabrielle backpack. As you know, one of the focal points of the Gabrielle de Chanel bag line is that your can wear each bag in 7 different ways, and while I loved draping the 2 chains over my shoulders for the more structured version, this bag is just perfect to casually toss over one shoulder and wear on your back, as a more dressed up version of a backpack! Additionally, it adds a nice contrast to the lightness of the outfit (because it's made from Chanel's signature tweed), but the relaxed cut makes sure it totally fits in. This shape is easily one of my favourite bag shapes of the year, and I can't wait to wear it all Summer long!
Stay tuned for the final part of our Gabrielle de Chanel mini series, featuring the perfect way to end a sweet Spring day: a date night with my love!
